Assigning users and groups to an Experience Updated July 03, 2024 15:44 Experiences are a fundamental concept in Showpad and allow you to organize your content and distribute it to your users and user groups in Showpad. To enable users and user groups to access the content in an Experience, you must assign them to the specific Experience. This is done in the Experience Builder. As a best practice, it's easier to assign a group to an Experience versus each individual user you wish to grant access, but it can also come in handy to assign users in one-off scenarios from time to time. Note: If you're using Divisions and want to assign a user group to an Experience, you first need to assign the user group to the correct division. Learn more about this here. See how it works Key features Assign users and user groups in the Experience Builder Grant or deny Experience access to user and user groups Do this step by step Assign users and user groups in the Experience Builder Remove users and user groups in the Experience Builder Manage announcement for (un)assignment of Experiences Assign users and user groups in the Experience Builder From the Online Platform, navigate to the Library and click Open Experience Builder within the Assets & Experiences tab. After choosing the desired Experience, click Users. The number reflects the amount of active users assigned to the Experience. From the drop-down menu, enter the name of the user or user group you want to assign to the Experience and click Add. Repeat the previous steps for any additional users or user groups you want to assign to this Experience. Back to Top Remove users and user groups in the Experience Builder From the Library tab, click Open Experience Builder. After choosing the desired Experience, click Users. Remove the user or group by clicking the X button. Back to Top Manage announcement for (un)assignment of Experiences Click the settings gear icon in the Online Platform and select Admin Settings. Select Messaging from the lefthand menu and go to the Announcements section.Check the box to send announcements to your users whenever an Experience is whether assigned or unassigned to them. Scroll-down to the bottom of the Messaging section and click Save.
