Delete unnecessary assets Updated July 03, 2024 15:44 When assets are no longer relevant to your users, you can delete them from your library. However, if your asset is outdated and you only want to replace it with a newer version, you should update the file instead of deleting it. The big advantage of updating instead of deleting a file is that all asset tags and properties are preserved and automatically associated with the updated asset version. Note: When you remove an asset from the library, it is moved to the Trash, which may still be restored. Deleted files will remain in the Trash until restored or deleted permanently. Deleting an asset won't change the reports. If you permanently removed a file today, it will still appear in the previous period's reports. When an asset is deleted, it will no longer be visible to recipients it was previously shared with. If a recipient attempts to open a share containing a deleted asset, they will receive a message that the content can't be found and access may be revoked. If the deleted asset was in a collection, it will appear greyed out and prompt the user to remove it.
