Setting a release and expiry date for an asset or a Page Updated July 03, 2024 15:43 Sometimes the content you upload to Showpad is linked to special events like promotions, sales competitions, or individual campaigns. In such cases, you can upload assets to Showpad, or create Pages, and set a release and expiry date to ensure they are available in the correct time frame. You can also choose to set only a release date without an expiry date and vice versa. For users, expired content is removed from Experiences. In collections and Shared Spaces, the asset will be greyed out and inaccessible. Content with a future release date won't be visible yet for your users. Choose a division, if relevant. Select the asset or Page for which you want to set a release and expiry date. Under the Properties tab, click on the Availability settings. Select a release and expiry date and click Save. You can give multiple assets the same release and/or expiration date in bulk. To do so, choose your assets and click Edit. The same is possible for Pages. Under the File life cycle, select a release and expiry date.Remember that the content will be released/expired at the start of your chosen day, using the time zone set for your account. See how it looks On Showpad's Online Platform for Admins In the Experience Builder, expired content is grayed out. When hovering on the asset, an Expired label appears. On the Web and mobile apps for Users Users won't be able to open expired content on their devices or the Web app. In ExperiencesExpired assets and Pages will be removed from Experiences. In CollectionsExpired assets and Pages will be greyed out in Collections. If a user attempts to open expired content from a Collection, it will alert them and give them the option to remove it. In Shared SpacesExpired assets and Pages will be greyed out in Shared Spaces. If users attempt to open it, it will alert them that access has been revoked.
