Please provide feedback directly in the beta app. The more Pages and files you have in the Libraries tab, the more valuable it becomes to manage them efficiently. Bulk editing allows you to save precious time and streamline your workflow. With bulk editing, you can simultaneously update the following properties for Pages and files: release and expiration dates, author name, tags, locale settings, and permissions. By leveraging bulk editing capabilities, you can maintain an organized and up-to-date library with minimal effort. See how it looks Key features Save time by eliminating repetitive updates Maintain uniform standards and minimize errors Apply tags to multiple files and Pages quickly Update permissions for multiple files and Pages simultaneously Adjust author names in bulk when ownership changes You need this to succeed The beta Admin App enabled Feature availability depends on your subscription package Files or Pages available in the Libraries tab The quick way Go to the Libraries tab Open Files or Pages in the Content section Select the Pages or files you want to bulk edit Click Edit Update the desired properties Save Do this step by step Select and edit Pages and files Navigate to the Libraries tab. If your organization uses multiple Libraries, select the desired Library from the top-left dropdown menu. Click All files or All Pages in the Content section. Select the individual checkboxes next to the name. checkbox in the top bar to select all content on the page you’re viewing. all items checkbox from the bar that appears at the top of the library. In the top bar, you’ll see the number of selected items. Click Edit to open the sidebar for bulk editing. For the selected items, you can perform multiple actions per property: Keep as is: Retain the current properties. Replace all: Select and search for a new property to apply. Add new: Add a new property to the selected items. Find and remove: Remove a specific property if it applies to any of the selected items. Remove all: Remove all properties from the selected items. Update the properties in the sidebar. Click Save to apply your changes. Overview Schedule when the selected Pages or files are available to your users and assign who will manage them. Released on: Change the release date. If the release date has not been reached yet, the content will not be visible to users. Expires on: Change the expiration date. Expired content is removed from Experiences and are greyed out in Collections and Shared Spaces. Author(s): By default, the person who uploads the content becomes the author. This option lets you modify who manages and owns the content. You can add multiple authors. Tags Bulk edit tags to make the content easier to manage, find, and organize. Locale The locale property is used to display content relevant to users' language and location. Languages: Select the language for the selected items. You can add multiple languages. Country: Specify the country or region where the content will be used. Permissions Permit the selected content to be shared and secured. Choose to make content available in all Libraries or only in their current Library. Changes will only apply to files and Pages that support the changed permission. Show in Kiosk mode: Modify permissions so the content can be displayed when a user’s mobile device is in Kiosk Mode. Kiosk Mode is useful at trade shows where customers or prospects can take a tour of an Experience without accessing the rest of the Showpad platform. Can be shared: Change whether your users can share the selected items and whether their buyers can reshare them. Can be downloaded internally: Select if this file can be downloaded internally by users within your organization. Unchecking this box prohibits internal users from downloading or editing this content. They won't be able to open the document in other applications on their device. Viewing is still possible, but downloading or sharing the original copy is disabled. Can be downloaded externally: Choose if this file can be downloaded externally by people outside of your organization. Unchecking this box will prohibit external users from editing or downloading the content. They will be able to view it without downloading it. Global: Make the selected content available in all Libraries. Can be annotated: Users can add notes and drawings on the document. Can be personalized: Users can edit PowerPoint documents by using the Showpad Edit middleware, Microsoft PowerPoint, and the Web App. The personalization option is only available if pages of an asset are allowed to be separated as well. Personal Uploads must be enabled in admin settings for this permission to be visible in asset permissions. View in Showpad: Hide the asset in Showpad. Hide name in Experience: Select this check box to hide the folder name in the Experience. This is useful when you have created custom icons for your folders that already have the folder name in the icon. Enable Dynamic Content Filtering: Content on non-shareable Pages will be shown or hidden based on the Content Profile associated with the user. Use as a template: The selected Pages will be available as templates when creating a new Page. Note: Permission settings can be modified more granularly when selecting a single piece of content.
