Preparing for PitchIQ review panel changes Updated October 08, 2024 11:41 Admins will notice changes to the PitchIQ review panel options coming soon, as well as more options to edit PitchIQ components after a Course is published. This new functionality will allow admins more flexibility to adjust their published Courses as needed and continue to adapt to ever-changing organizational circumstances. In short, the following options will become available to published PitchIQ modules: Add new reviewers and remove existing reviewers from the PitchIQ panel Edit PitchIQ review due dates Choose new official score settings Read on for specific scenarios outlining what happens when you edit PitchIQ panels, due dates, and score settings for existing courses. Adding or removing reviewers from the PitchIQ panel Soon, admins and promoted members will be able to add or remove reviewers from a PitchIQ panel, even if pitches have already been submitted and reviewed. If a PitchIQ has not yet been submitted when panel edits are made, the new reviewers selected will receive PitchIQ submissions to review once they are submitted, and previous reviewers will be removed. Previous reviewers will not receive the PitchIQ reviews once they are submitted. If a PitchIQ has been submitted but not yet reviewed when the panel is edited, new reviewers will receive existing outstanding pitches to review and any new pitches submitted thereafter. Previous reviewers will be removed, and their outstanding pitches to review will be removed from their to-do tasks. If a PitchIQ has been submitted and one or more reviews have already been completed when a review panel is edited, all completed reviews will stay the same. New reviewers will receive outstanding pitches to review and any newly submitted pitches after. Previous reviewers will be removed, with outstanding pitches to review removed from their to-do tasks. If a PitchIQ has been submitted then reverted after one or more reviews have been completed, it will be treated the same as a PitchIQ not yet submitted. Editing review due dates for a PitchIQ after publishing With this change, admins and promoted members will be able to change the due date of PitchIQ reviews, even if pitches have already been submitted and reviewed. The newly adjusted due date will be applied to all existing open reviews, and any new reviews submitted after the edit was made. Existing completed reviews will remain completed (with a prior due date), and the user will be informed. If the new due date has not yet passed, the review process continues normally. If the new date has already passed for an existing review, it will be handled as overdue, with logic as-is. If a lock is not enabled, the reviewer will still have the possibility to submit a review and will receive an email that there is a pitch that needs their attention. If the lock is enabled, then there will be no possibility to review after the new due date. Editing the official score of a published PitchIQ Admins and promoted members will be able to change the official score settings of a PitchIQ, even if pitches have already been submitted and reviewed. The newly adjusted official score settings will be applied to all existing open reviews and any new reviews submitted thereafter. A pitch with one or more completed reviews AND one or more pending reviews can still have its official scores change when a new official score setting is set. A pitch with one or more complete reviews AND zero pending reviews will never have its official score change. Updated PitchIQ panel options and logic The PitchIQ Review panel will also undergo changes, replacing the previous options of Managers, Peers, and Admins with All Group Managers, Assigned Group Managers, and Named Individuals. To help reduce the number of outstanding reviews, if no group is assigned and no named individuals are chosen, the course author becomes the reviewer. All group managers - Reviewers are all managers of groups a user belongs to, even if the group is not assigned to the course. Managers of assigned groups- Reviewers are only managers of groups assigned to the Course, that a user belongs to. Named Individuals - Reviewers are all individually selected from the same Division as the Course, and they will be reviewers for all users assigned to the course. This option is replacing the existing Peer and Admin Review options.
