Important updates on the deprecation of Discussions Updated November 14, 2024 21:35 At Showpad, we constantly work to improve and streamline our product to provide you with the best possible experience. We wanted to inform you about the final phase of deprecating Discussions in Showpad Courses. What changed In May 2024, the Notes and Discussions features within the Course Viewer were deprecated. This update contributed to a new, more user-friendly Course viewing experience and simplified product maintenance. Since then, historical Discussions have remained visible for users in the Social tab, and for admins in the Online Platform Collaboration tab. Users can still respond to Discussions in the Social tab, and admins in the Collaboration tab, but no new discussions can be started. Discussions within the Social tab for users: Discussions within the Collaboration tab for admins and Promoted Members: Coming soon In the final phase of deprecating Discussions this February, they will be completely removed from the Showpad product. Discussions will no longer be accessible from the Social or Collaboration tabs. We still recommend encouraging your users to provide Course feedback as an alternative means of communication. Feedback allows users to provide valuable insights and ratings directly to Course authors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we refine and enhance the Showpad experience. These changes will make the platform more efficient and user-friendly for everyone.
