Important Updates on Notes and Discussions in the Course Viewer Updated June 18, 2024 07:43 At Showpad, we constantly work to improve and streamline our product to provide you with the best possible experience. We wanted to inform you about an upcoming change regarding two features in Showpad's Courses: Notes and Discussions. What changes In May, the Notes and Discussions features within the Course Viewer will be deprecated. This adjustment will contribute to a new, more user-friendly Course viewing experience and simplified product maintenance. Why do we make these changes After analysis and our ongoing efforts to enhance the overall user experience, we have decided to retire these features to focus on more widely-used and impactful functionalities. What it means for you and your users If your users have added Notes to Courses, we recommend manually copying and pasting these Notes into a tool of their choice. This way, they can seamlessly retain valuable information without disruption when the new Course Viewer launches. As for Discussions, we would like to encourage your users to transition to the Learning Feedback feature as an alternative means of communication. Learning Feedback allows users to provide valuable insights and feedback directly to Course Authors.How to prepare To ensure a smooth transition for your users, we recommend communicating this change to users in advance. You can use the Announcements feature in Showpad. Please share this information and guide them on migrating their existing Notes and adapting to the shift from Discussions to Learning Feedback.To assist you further, here is an example of the announcement.
