Create and assign Competencies and roles Updated April 03, 2024 21:32 As an admin, you can maintain and grow the skills needed for your high-performing sales teams by creating roles that align with their competencies. Assign these specialized roles to user groups and help them succeed by learning from Courses you’ve matched with your defined Competencies.When users are ready, they can take a self-assessment to determine if their competencies meet your established benchmarks. Managers can also assess their sellers’ competencies against your defined ratings. Select Admin Settings and choose Competencies from the left menu. Click the Competencies tab. Click Add new to create a Competency. Your organization can define up to 200 competencies. Give the Competency a name by clicking in the title field. Describe the Competency in the Competency description box. Optionally clarify each level of the Competency on the 1-5 rating scale. Click Save Changes. To undo changes before saving, click Discard changes. To find a Competency, use the dynamic search field. Start typing the name of a Competency, and the list of competencies will be filtered automatically. To edit a Competency, click on the name of a Competency and edit the fields. Click Save changes when done. To permanently remove a Competency, click on the name of a Competency and click the trash can icon to the right of the title. Confirm on the pop-up message. Back to Top Create a role The roles in your organization are defined positions with specific responsibilities. Customize role names and link them with user groups and competencies to facilitate clear professional growth and development. Assign at least one Competency and one User group to create a role. Log in to the Online Platform and click the gear icon. Select Admin Settings and choose Competencies from the left menu. Click the Roles tab. Click Add role and give the role a unique name. Designate which Competencies are associated with this role and click Apply. Select which User groups to assign this role and click apply. Click Save to keep all your changes. Clicking Reset will revert all your current changes to the last saved state. To permanently remove a role from the assigned user group(s), click the red minus sign to the right of the role. Confirm on the pop-up message. Back to Top Link a Competency to a Course By aligning Competencies with Courses, your team can focus on learning the skills they need most. After assessing their proficiencies, they’ll be presented with the Courses you’ve matched to the Competencies. Additionally, their manager can track their progress on the Courses associated with each Competency. Log in to the Online Platform and click Library. If your organization uses divisions, select a division. Click the Coach Library tab. Select the Course you would like to assign a Competency. On the Course detail panel, click the Properties tab. Hover over the Competencies section and click the pencil icon. Select the Competencies to add to the Course and click Save. To remove Competencies assigned to a Course, click Competencies in the properties tab of the Course detail panel. Click X next to each Competency and click Save. You can add Competencies to a new Course by selecting them in the Competencies field in the Create New Course pop-up.
