Setting up the Showpad and Slack integration

Integrating Showpad and Slack enhances your team's productivity and streamlines organizational communication. This integration brings together the dynamic features of Showpad with the real-time messaging capabilities of Slack.

After the integration is configured, your users will receive direct messages the following Showpad activities in Slack:

• An email share was viewed
• An email share was reshared

For Shared Spaces, users will receive direct messages Slack notifications when a buyer:

• joined
• visited
• added a comment
• invited a new participant
• requested access

Note: This integration requires configuration in Showpad and Slack. You'll need to consult your IT administrator for the necessary permissions.

Do this step by step

Installing the Slack Integration App

1. Open the Online Platform and select Admin Settings. 
2. Select the Showpad Apps tab.
3. Click Install App.
4. Select Slack Integration and enable automatic updates. Click Install.
5. Once installation is confirmed, you can see where the App is used, disable automatic updates, or uninstall the App.

Installing the Showpad App in Slack

1. Open the Web app from within the Online Platform.
2. Open Settings and open the Slack tab to authorize the Slack integration.
3. Allow access.
4. Accept the authorization request in Showpad.
5. The Showpad App is now installed in Slack. In Settings, you see a User and an Admin tab. The User tab is to configure Slack notifications for the administrator user. The Admin tab is only visible to the administrator. You can enable or disable the integration for everyone here.
6. Showpad is visible in Slack, and users can configure further notifications from within the User Settings in the Web app.

Uninstalling the integration

1. Open the Web app from within the Online Platform.
2. Open Settings and open the Slack tab.
3. On the Admin tab, disable the App. 
4. Open the Online Platform and select Admin Settings.
5. Select the Showpad Apps tab.
6. Click the Uninstall button.
7. Confirm.
8. In the Slack App Directory, select Remove App.
9. To install the integration after it was deleted, reauthorize the app in the Admin tab of the Slack integration in the Web app.
