What content influences most revenue? Updated November 29, 2023 19:30 This analytics dashboard will help you study your marketing content through the lens of revenue. Get insight into what type of content and which assets help users close deals and influence the most revenue. This report looks specifically at marketing content and closed-won opportunities that were closed within the selected timeframe. Note: Due to communication between Salesforce and Showpad, there may be some delay in aggregating information. If you suspect that data is missing (e.g., due to configuration or permission issues), you can test your connection and initiate a manual synchronization (if necessary). Be aware that synchronizing can be time-consuming. Deal data syncing with Salesforce Filtering The Currency, Division, User Group, and Date range filters influence all sections of the dashboard. If your organization uses multiple currencies, you can choose which currency to view the report in (USD or EUR). As the exchange rate for currency conversion, we use a six-month rolling average ending at the last date of the previous month. By default, the selected options will be USD, all the Divisions you have access to, all applicable user groups, and a 90-day range. Edit your selection to see the specific data. Select the currency in which you would like to view the revenue. Choose to view data for any or all of the Divisions you have access to. Choose the user groups you wish to filter for. Lastly, select the timeframe, choosing from 7, 14, 30, 90, 180, and 360-day periods. Hover over the filter and click on the three dot menu to reset the data to default or refresh the available options. Back to Top Trends The first Key Performance Indicator (KPI) box shows the total revenue for your selection. The arrow will indicate if the revenue is trending up or down compared to the previous timeframe, and below, you’ll see the difference in revenue between the current and past timeframe. The second KPI box indicates the total number of deals closed for your selection. The arrow will indicate if the number is trending up or down compared to the previous timeframe, and below you’ll see the difference between the current and past timeframe. The third KPI box displays the total number of marketing assets that influenced closing deals for your selection. The arrow will indicate if the number is trending up or down compared to the previous timeframe, and below you’ll see the difference between the current and past timeframe. Assets influencing deals are marketing assets shared and viewed by a prospect before an opportunity is closed and for a closed and won opportunity within the selected timeframe. Content shared via email, link, or Shared Space must be logged to an opportunity with our CRM integration to be counted. In the example below, for the last 90 days: The total revenue reached 5,315,000, reflecting an increase of 543,000 more than the previous 90 days There were 32 deals closed, which is 5 less than the previous period There were 123 assets linked to deals, which is 21 less than the previous period Back to Top What content type drives the most revenue? This graph shows the revenue per content type for your selection. In the example below, you can see that documents drove 5,302,000 of revenue, while videos drove 2,803,000 of revenue, and pages drove 2,771,000 of revenue. On the right-hand side of the graph, you can see two sections presenting the top 5 most influencing assets and rising assets for the timeframe selected: Most influencing assets are the ones that had the highest revenue contribution Rising assets are the ones that had the most significant increase in revenue contribution To quickly determine the most influencing and rising marketing assets for a specific content type, click on the corresponding bar in the graph. The top 5 assets of each section will be displayed on the right-hand side. By clicking again anywhere on the graph, the top 5 assets visuals will return to the default view. Hover over a row to see the total revenue for a specific tag category, and use the slider to see the categories on your different levels. Back to Top What is the revenue influence per asset? The final section of your dashboard includes data at the most extensive scale or granular level, depending on your filter selections. Choose to view your breakdown by asset, tag, or tag category. When you've got the data you want, click the three-dot menu to export it to CSV and XLS.
