Utilizing Showpad at Tradeshows
AngesagtLong gone are the days of handing potential customers a business card and pamphlet at a tradeshow before bidding them adieu. Here you will find some fresh tips on how to use Showpad at your next tradeshow to have truly engaging conversations and meaningful follow-ups.
Make a tailored Collection
Think about the theme or audience of the tradeshow you will be attending, and tailor a collection geared towards it. For example, if you’re headed to Dreamforce, Salesforce’s big conference, think about what people who use Salesforce care about, and what’s relevant to them. As a Showpad sales rep, I would create a collection that included information on our Salesforce integration, showcasing things like our content recommendations in Salesforce.
Create a pre-populated email
On the Showpad’s mobile apps, you have the ability to create a pre-populated, default email body, so when you go to share a collection or piece of content with someone the email is already ready to fire off. Tailor your email body specific to the tradeshow or type of customer you’ll be talking with. After meeting someone, grab their email address, plug in their name, and send some content their way. This can be worth more to you as a sales rep than a badge scan because you can follow up with them after the tradeshow and see how much they’ve engaged with your shares. You’ll have a better gauge of who was truly interested, and you can prioritize your tailored follow-ups towards those prospects.
Remember to update your email body after the tradeshow is over!
Engage prospects with custom Experiences in kiosk mode
Utilize Showpad’s dynamic presentation capabilities using the Advanced Experiences and channels created for you by your admin. You can read about how to set up kiosk mode on our help center, but essentially it’s a super-easy way to keep prospects within the Showpad channels you want them on in the app. This way they aren’t getting distracted by any info you don’t want them to see, and you can feel comfortable letting them drive. The first thing to consider when using Kiosk mode is if you want to lock users within the Showpad app or not. This can be useful if you want to keep tradeshow goers out of the other things available on your device, however, if your selling requires another app outside of Showpad, you will not want to do this.
Showpad or no Showpad, the best way to succeed at tradeshows is to be engaged and have real conversations with potential buyers. Try not to get roped into doing a full 30-minute demo at a tradeshow. This is the time to pique their interest and set some sort of follow up, but leave something to the imagination until then!
There’s something magical about meeting prospects in person versus over the phone, so try to stay present and savor these moments. The connections you make through tradeshows can take you far.
